Symptoms are NEVER a good indicator about whether you have HIV or not. Some people show no symptoms at all, so just because you don't match typical HIV symptoms that does not mean you are infected (similarly, if your symptoms match those of typical ARS, that does not mean you are infected). The only way to tell is to get an HIV test. Period.
