Possible based on what? Did you have a risk?

by tp101, Nov 04, 2009 11:56AM
I had an anal contact...some fluid spillt out..

by Vance2335, Nov 04, 2009 11:56AM
No it is not possible to have an ARS rash at 8 weeks no matter if you had a risk or not.

does personal immunity aslo affect the time the symptoms occour...

by tp101, Nov 04, 2009 12:04PM
I have very low immunity..

by Vance2335, Nov 04, 2009 12:08PM
Your immunity is fine. PEP wuld not effect anything for it to come on 8 weeks later.

What was your risk.

I aslo have mild fever since the past 12days.. do you think it is hiv or some other infection..

by Vance2335, Nov 04, 2009 12:27PM
Can never use symptoms as an indication. You can test for HIV now and get a real good indication and at 3 months for a conclusive result.

by tp101, Nov 04, 2009 12:32PM
So you dont rule out the symptoms are because of hiv??
What do you think is will be the % accuracy of the results if I take the test right now..

by Vance2335, Nov 04, 2009 12:54PM
I rule out symptoms because of time frame and because you can never use symptoms as an indication or a guide. Symptoms are meaningless, if you read posts the majority of people have "symptoms" when they didn't even have a risk.
At 8 weeks it is in the upper 90's%.

by tp101, Nov 05, 2009 05:30AM
What type of test should i do at this stage.. Dna/Rna PCR or the hiv duo test.. Or both??

by tp101, Nov 05, 2009 06:35AM
.

by Vance2335, Nov 05, 2009 07:15AM
3 month antibody test is the only approved test that will tell you your status.

by tp101, Nov 05, 2009 09:47AM
what about right now. what test should i take right now..

by Vance2335, Nov 05, 2009 09:49AM
If you must take a test then do an antibody test but make sure you folow up with a 3 month test.

by tp101, Nov 09, 2009 01:01AM
If non reactive value increase in between two tests , does it mean its climbing and may be reactive in a few weeks?

by tp101, Nov 09, 2009 01:04AM
