recurring swollen gland in groin

every so often a gland in my groin will swell up for about 2 days and then go away. its always the same gland and it happens about twice a year. does anyone know what may cause this? I heard that if you have HIV all of you glands swell up at once but im still afraid that it could be HIV. im also fraid that it might be cancer too. has anyone else had this problem and can anyone give my any advice as to what this might be.

If one is going to have swollen lymph nodes due to HIV they all swell up . What was your exposure?
