I am a homosexual
I had unprotected anal sex with my bf last 6 weeks ago.
He claimed that he never did unprotected sex before in his life.
and I believed him.
4 weeks later, I had a cough,dry cough then became wet cough-and back pain and chest pain after cough and early morning.There is some blood on coughing up. I asked him again his history. he answered me that he had never done unprotected sex.But I am worry now. I want to diagnose my health.but I have no courage. If my symptoms were suggestive of TB, can I assume that it is due to HIV because of sudden fall in immune system? If it is true TB, what can happen on my HIV test at 12 weeks due to TB drugs? Can my symptoms be due to HIV?

You had an exposure and require hiv testing.You can test now to see where your at,and again in 3 months for a conclusive result.Remember,hiv is never diagnosed on the basis of symptoms alone.Classic ARS Symptoms are high fever and rash on trunk-torso and limbs.All the best.

well symptom are not reliable indicator cough and chest pain are never ARS symptom who told you that.Moreover,you can trust your bf and also the fact if he has hiv chances of one time sex is 1;200.so I think you are fine just get a test and ease your mind.if you read UK guide lines for HIv(fourth generation test),it says 4 week is highley likely to exclude HIV infection and as stated by doctor here.but as Uk health department cannot offord to be wrong so they also added to get a test at 12 weeks(3 month) to definately exclude HIV.

How can we answer that.How would we know if he,s telling the truth or not.You need to get tested and put this situation behind you.That simple.
