my 8 yr old niece and brother his wife and my father and mother, what is our risk?
my questions are
1.) we are all keeping our tooth brushes and toothpaste in the same pot and after brushing many times it may happen that the infected blood may remain on the brush so it may get to our brushes and we brush afterward again we use the same toothpaste so while taking the toothpaste the bristles of it remain in contact with paste at the last moment so virus may get to the paste, so plz give detail about this is it a risk? if yes how and if no why?
2.)we all r using the same towel noone in home bother to have the separate towel as such
3.)again my uncle use to shave alternate day and blood comes i saw sometime, we dont have tap water we used to store water in a tank.used by all so the blood if it get in to the tank and it comes in contact with our mucous membrane or any cut

4.)what if they died and normally in our traditinal way in india we used to bath the dead bodies and then used to wear new clothes in this procedure the body fluid may come in contact among our family

HIV CANNOT be transmitted by causal contact, or from inanimate objects/environmental surfaces (ie countertop, toilet seat). You cannot get HIV simply from sharing a household with an infected person. This includes all of the scenarios you mentioned above, not to mention...sharing a drinking glass...using the same bathroom, sleeping in the same bed, lying on the same couch, hugging, kissing...NONE of that poses a risk to you.
I would highly suggest to you that since you have people in your life that are close to you with HIV that you educate yourself about the disease, and about the REAL risks. If not, you sincerely stand a chance of offending your loved ones by being fearful of things that do not place you at risk.
