Dear doctor(s), I had some blood drawn for tests and the nurse did not swab the venipuncture site with disinfectant and inserted the needle after just touching the area with his unwashed bare hands to "feel" for a vein.Any risk of contracting hiv ( he had just finished touching blood vials and his hands could have came in contact with hiv+ blood or fluids or if he himself is hiv +)?Any other disease to worry about ? there must be a reason that disinfectanting the venipuncture site is a universal precaution after all...,should I get tested ?thank you for your time
