roseola on my face

by FDMD, Feb 28, 2008 09:24PM
Dear Dr,
I have a negative hiv antibody test result of 10 weeks, now it's 11 weeks and my face occurred lots of roseola, on the cheeks. How about it?
I have an unprotected sex 11 weeks ago.
Thanks!

click on the expert forum for hiv prevent on the right of this page and they will charge you 15 bucks to tell you that your roseola has nothing to do with hiv

Hi there,

A 10 weeks HIV test result is a very good indication that you are HIV negative.  And it's a little too late for ARS.

Your "roseola" is not HIV specific.

Not sure what kind of risky exposure you had, but if you want a conclusive test result, do it at 3 months....but I doubt it's going to change.

Cheers!

I did an unprotected vaginal sex. I am very scared now.

I can understand your "scared".

Let me assure you, your 10 weeks result is very very encouraging.  Just hang on there, test in another week time (since now 11 weeks), by 12 weeks your test result will be conclusive.

I don't think it will be a different result from your 10th week.
