same guy i was afraid might have given me HIV now showing weird symptoms...

My now ex-boyfriend has never been tested for any kind of STD's and he is at great risk, seeing as how he dated two girls, both he had sex with many times, who slept around a lot and also cheated on him. I don't know the status of those girls, but my bet is they have something, whether its HIV I don't know. For the past couple months my ex-guy has gotten many colds and is always coming down with something. And the other night he told me something that I thought was very strange. I asked him to smell my hair because it smelled nice and he said, "I can't smell it. I can't smell anything." And I of course replied, "Why, are you sick?" And he said no. He said if he knew why he had lost his sense of smell he would have told me. What the hell! Is this a symptom of HIV/AIDS?? I love him so much and I am really worried. He really needs to be tested but he won't do it and I don't know why or how to get him to. Please help!

Stop asking him to get tested for HIV, and suggest that you go to a blood drive (run by the red cross). All blood is tested now, so if he is HIV positive, he'll be notified. Otherwise you're fine.

He could also have an immune deficiency unrelated to HIV. There are many genetic and non sexually transmitted causes of immune deficiency. If he continues getting sick often, he should go to an immunologist.

No that is not a symptom of HIV. If you are concerned use protection if you have sex with him. If he doesn't want to test, there is nothing anyone can do.
