shingles outbreak

i had had shingles last year at the age of 20, and i am patient of respiratory disorder  i am not taking any steroids apart from that i have no health related problem, am i HIV positive??, i am really scared. please help me out thanks

need a little more info than that.  have you had unprotected intercourse or been sharing iv drugs works?  having shingles does not mean you have hiv!

Why elce would shingles come about! And is it true that most hiv people get shingles first? And does stress from having long term shingle back pain. Make the body get anxiety and stress make thing like stress rash acure when anxiety takes place? I no I just need to get tested but iv been to a doctor four times now and they told me I'm fine! What do u think about all that? Anything helps? And life is beautiful)

Shingles is shingles has nothing to do with HIV it has to do if you've ever had chickenpox.

Shingles is caused by the chickenpox virus. If you had chickenpox, the virus never completely healed. It has been lying dormant waiting to attack. If you immune system is weak and you are run down several things will trigger the virus.  Stress, tired run down sluggish immune system, all are triggers for the shingles to appear. The are painful and dangerous. They can cause some severe nerve damage since they attack the nerve endings. there are steroid creams and anti viral meds to help alleviate the nasty pustules that appear.  Shingles is one of the most painful  conditions of anything.    it has nothing to do with  hiv. it is not a sexually transmitted disease.  it is also called herpes zoster, which is a virus such as  chicken pox, herpes fever blisters.  all beling to the same virual family.
