sore throat for long time. how long ARS will last?

yng

I had a sore throat for almost 4 months. in the beginning it was painful but not anymore. however it is still there.

5,5 months ago I had two protected vaginal sex and oral sex with a girl. however immediately after that I had sense of itching in my penis which lasted 2.5 months. my doctor said that it might be viral. I also took an antibody HIV 1&2 test at 38 day and were both negative

besides sore thorat I didn't have any fever, rash, headache.  but only sore throat and some fatigue ( especially in the last two weeks).

would ARS last for more than 4 months?
my ENT doctor couldnt find any scientific cause of sore throat.
has anyone heard of chronic fatigue syndrome?

well,my doctor also assumed that mono or an allergie may cause it but that was not the case.( approved by blood tests)

he says that nasal drip or GERD are other possibilties.

there is no meaningful and reliable explanation and it makes me nervous

I've had the same problem.  One swollen tonsil and red throat with a few white dots.  Other than when there's some post nasal drip - but my throat doesn't really hurt.  Been like this for about 10 weeks.

Did you kiss the girl?  We did some deep kissing and I'm wondering if I caught something that way.

DR. HHH says doesn't sound like an STD, although could be some mono (although haven't had fever or fatigue) and my doctor says could also be allergies.  Any of this sound similar to your situation?

ARS symptoms last 1 to 2 weeks and that's it. They don't last for months. CFS is not specific to HIV/AIDS.
