still very worried

hey everyone i believe i was exposed to hiv about 8 weeks ago today i finally had enough balls to go get tested they gave me a rapid test it came back negative i was wondering is 8 weeks pretty accurate if there was an infection? and are the rapid tests as accurate as the ones they send to the lab? i had almost all the symptoms and 3 weeks after mines my wife starting having a rash and a sore throat so i said **** it and man up and goto tested

Rapid tests are conclusive at three months.

rapid tests are accurate and 8 weeks is very very good ! almost certainly you dont have HIV....And oh, if u test negative 2 weeks after ur symptoms onset then ur symptoms were not HIV related
