swollen glands or anxiety?

I had a low risk exposure and about a month later I started have flu-like symptoms.  I am worryfull person by nature and soon my mind was racing with "do I have HIV?"  My most felt symptom was a confirmed swollen gland in the neck.  If you research swollen glands on the internet, HIV comes up often.  Soon I began "feeling" like I had swollen glands in the armpits and groin.  Its like a stinging feeling I get off and on, I can't feel any large bump?

I tested negative at 9 weeks and my doctor said it is likely just anxiety.  But when I research anxiety on the internet I see nothing about feeling swollen or inflammed glands?  I'm now on week 15 and I still get this stinging or burning feeling in my neck, armpits, and groin?  How do I know if its swollen glands, just imflammed, or could it be anxiety?

Also does anyone know could just a small amount of hiv get passed, not show up on antibody tests, and stay dormant until sometime down the road??  I'm so worried and my doctor said I'm not "officially" in the clear until 6 months?  Everything on this site says 3 months?  Is it possible the small amount passed wouldn't show up until the 6month or later??

India Man - my exposure was finger penetration and cunilingus with a stripper (CSW from the other services she ended up offering me but which I denied).  Am I at risk.  Judging from your figures, your estimating me at amout 1 in 2 million chance?

Are you currently exposed?  You mentioned you just got a negative test?

Thanks India Man, I do appreciate your feedback.  The low risk exposure was Oral Sex both ways with a unkown female from Chicago (I'm from small midwest town), not that that makes a difference, but I'm certain my doctor hasn't seen too many hiv patients.

You would think I could just let this go with a negative test, but I just cant stop feeling things in my glands. I think a lot of us come here after exposures just to have people tell us zero chance, something a doctors office or other forums wont. The whole window period thing and people saying different things is confusing and adds to the fear.  Also my overanalytical mind wonders why of all the topis in here, everyones negative or no chance, transmission does occur?
