swollen lymph node under my armpit

dear friends,

i had a surely protected encounter with an escort about 20 days ago., after which i have been tested positive for Hsv1 after alot of itching, burning around the opening of my penis, which made me go get tested and it came back Hsv 1 positive and Hsv 2 negative.
but today i have noticed a bump under my armpit which is surely a swollen lymph node...

can someone please tellme, if tbis is a sign or an early symptom of Hiv, because all the websites here say that Hsv1 doesnot cause such symptoms..
i am very scared thinking that maybe i have acquired HIv somehow while giving and recieving oral. or maybe i did not notice a break in condom or there was any other way it happened.

please help me. what can be this swollen lymph node under my armpit, i am really scared. please advice

thanks.

Thanks alot for your assurances, i am much grateful, it makes me take more heart and move on.
just to let you know, my pimples are continuing to appear, on my stomach, on my chest today a big one filled with puss it seems. i do not know if this is also alll related to my anxiety or medication etc.
i have taken an appointment with the doctor for saturday now because this all pimples situation is worrying me alot, even though i am much assured by you all that this is not related to HIV, which i hope and pray is true.

Thanks

Ok for starters a rash associated with HIV is not a strange eruption of purplish pimples with white heads... the sounds more like acne to me.  ARS rash does not have a 'head' to it, does not contain pus, does not itch, does not sit on the surface of the skin but is below it.  If you did not see it you would not know it was there.

I cannot diagnose your 'rash'but I can say with certainty that it is not a rash seen with HIV.  See a dermatologist.

Cipralex is a great anti anxiety med, you need to be on at least 10mg, take it at night and give it a few weeks to really see the benefits. In the meantime take the xanax to keep the feelings of anxiety away and to help you sleep.

You have not had a risk, you say you had protected sex and it is called this for a reason, cos its protected!!!  You simply cannot and will not get HIV if you use a condom correctly and consistently during intercourse.

Whatever is going on with you symptomatically has nothing to do with HIV.  NO WAY.

I would say it,s as a result of the anxiety medication you have been taking.See your doctor about these pimples because they have nothing to do with Hiv because you never had a risk.

Dear Friends,

i Know i have been asking the same questions alot of times and i know i am being a pain in the neck for which i sincerely apologize.

but its because of this contonuous eruptions of strange round purpulish pimples with white heads appearing on my body more and more, i have now two on each arm and one on my stomach and a few near my neck.

i have been to the docs and have done a H1 & H2 P24 antigen test, which according to my calculations is done after 4 weeks of protected sex i had.

After that from last one week i am on Xanax and Cipralex and my situation with pimples is getting worst day by day, more and more pimples are appearing on my body every day and i am feeling itchy around my back and chest part most of the day, even though due to Xanax i am mentally very down and do not get time to think alot, but every evening when i get back home i see one or two new pimples on and aournd my arms, chest and neck area.

Can you please explain is this of any concern of is it some bacterial infection thats causing these pimples to grow on daily basis, or is it because of anxiety medication.

I again apologize for this, but this has taken my peace of mind away and the only place where i can share and ask my fears is this.

Please advice.

Thanks,

I was asking a legitimate question? I'm just trying to assess and educate myself and I have never been told no risk for other STD's only HIV. It's worrying that he got an STD whilst having protected sex and that's why I asked

How did you get HSV1 if you wore a condom? Did you see any signs of the sex worker having herpes?

See a dermatologist if you are concerned, it has nothing to do with HIV.

Thanks alot for answering my questions.

One last question i would like to be answered plesase.

i had a rash type of redness yesterday evening which has gone down now on my upper arm and now all there is left are two small pimples with whitesh head, do i need to worry about it, they are not too red anymore, but they are still a bit reddish.

they are only two in mumbers. rest of the body seems clean...

Do i need to worry about these two pimples, because i have recently also started anxiety medication, Xanax and Cipralex for my depression and anxiety issues, can these pimples on my upper arm related to that or is this a concern for me?

I would really appreciate if you can please answer.

thanks

First of all--What does the line--you never has a risk mean.1.The 3 classic ARS symptoms are very high fever, very sore throat and rash on trunk--torso and limbs. 2.YES. 3. 2 to 4 weeks after infection. 4.In your situation,Zero. 5.NO 6.You don,t have HIV.

i have some questions, if someone can explain please.

1) what are normaly HIv symptoms and where on the body do they appear?

2) can hiv rash appear on the inner thigh?

3) does HIV symptoms appear after almost 4 or 5 weeks of exposure?

4) what are the chances of acquiring HIv as a ratio, in thousands or millions?

5) cold sore can be a sign or early HIV symptom:?

Thanks,

You had protected sex therefore you had no Hiv risk and no Hiv testing is required. The swollen lymph node has nothing to do with this situation and is not part of the 3 main classic ARS symptoms anyway.Your safe.
