4-weeks-8 weeks - 10 weeks. At the time i experianced all types of ARS symptoms i was worried as anyone can be but the test results kept showing negative. Although there is mixed reviews on window period i became convince by experts online forums that 10 weeks negative results is conclusive and that no further testing is needed.
Although most of my symptoms have dissapeared in the past 4 months. I still experiance night sweats
that comes and go. Whats weird is that i took medicine that i normaly take when im sick and noticed that the over the counter cold medcine was ineefective and did not make me drowsy. Before this exposure i have always felt drowsy or much better when taking this night time medicine. what im wondering is that since HIV
I know deep down a test is when i will find out but that i was so convince that 10 weeks ment i was safe. But still the window period and delayed seroconversions has left only confused with many claiming 6 months is outdated and testing is not necessary. therefore i have relied on my 10 weeks but the symptoms are showing a different story.
my worries is really on these symptoms of HIV later after ARS. I hear many complications can occur as a result of weaken immune systems although many can go unnotice, some can be common such as swollen lympe node, rashes, thrush, easily becoming sick, and not healing due to a weaker immune system unable to fight common cold or illnesses. but overall you become susceptible to many illnesses and bacterias that would have normaly healed easily.
Hiv is never diagnosed on the basis of symptoms alone. Classic ARS symptoms are very high fever, rashes on trunk-torso and limbs and very sore throat.Only a test result can provide you with the answer you seek, not symptoms.
I have experienced all those symptoms except sore throat. However symptoms do vary from person to person. and aside from ARS symptoms do continue throughout the 2nd stage. Which many reports persistant lympe node, more vulnerable to illneses, night sweats, lost weight, and rashes. Although you can say many do not notice these syptoms (symptoms) they do occur likely to be ignored by those who feel they are not at risk.
