test question

I had an episode of unprotected vaginal sex in which I ejaculated inside the woman. When I pulled out, there was blood present. She thought she had finished her period the day before but apparently was not finished.

I have had negative tests at 4 weeks and now again @ 1 day past 7 weeks.

How confidant can I be at this stage that the tests are accurate and I have not contracted HIV?

No realistic chance that you have HIV.

would you all agree with the above comment? Can I be reassured with a 7 week negative result?

Freak_2007 is right.  Your result is not likely to change, so you can definitely be happy about it and not stress.  Just get your conclusive at 12/13 weeks and don't worry about anything.  Do wear condoms from hereon.

There was a mistake in my above comment. Sorry it was supposed to say

"Your 7 week negative result strongly indicates you weren't infected during that episode"
sorry for the typo.

Your 7 week negative result strongly (i mean very very strongly) indicate you were infected during that episode. It is highly unlikely that your result will change b ut again, retest at 12/13 weeks and get your conclusive negative result. You are fine.

Good luck
