testing & WBC relation

by danny_grey, Nov 13, 2007 11:22AM
Can having high WBC (around 15), high neutrophils(over 70) and Lymphocytes below 20 but higher than 15 mean that immune system is weak and anti-body production can be delayed. If the blood count is also whacky at the end of 12 weeks, can the test results for HIV be trusted?

My docs have been giving me all sorts of information and I have been having a really hard time with symptoms especially pins and needles in hands and feet and limbs hurting & going numb relatively quickly. Do you feel that if ELISA negative at 12 weeks, I can take that result as conclusive or do I keep testing further in view of my crazy blood count. Does it make me fall into the compromised immune system category? Can you please reply....Thanks

& here I am thinking of cutting a deal at week 12. Wow!!! 22 months..Chris, should I be taking your example and following the same course of action or can I sit wasy if I get a 12 week negative. I don't know what to say but just hope you get out of this freefall soon.

i am glad u believe that...i guess its about time. It is scaring the hell out of me looking at people testing for so long. What is your suggestions as far as testing goes. should I consider my upcoming 3 month conclusive or go further if negative. I have been feeling real sick all this while.

So, are you saying that the person should continue testing for at least 1 year. Can you be a little more clear. I knows its a difficult subject to be precise about but I request you to be specific as I am unable to understand what you are trying to imply.

I am indeed following it up with my doctor or may I say doctors but at times I do not get straight answers from them too. After reading about people with compromised immune system may take longer to produce antibodies, I just wanted an opinion whether a person whose are at 15 when normal is stated to be between 4 and 11 falls under the compromised immune system category. That about all I am asking for. I just hope someone who knows their stuff can answer me on this.
