testing of my exposure

i had an encounter about 6 and a half weeks ago, it was unprotected oral sex with a csw she gave me a blow job.
I've read so many forums that have said there is no risk, but the aids council in oz says there is a risk but only really small and that i shouldn't really worry about it. the reason I'm worrying about is because i haven't been feeling the best for the last couple of weeks, started with a penile rash that keeps coming and going, rash on arms hands and chest after 3 weeks after exposure and a general unwell feeling, (nausea, dizzy) and hands are shaky and my legs feel really wobbly when i walk. I've also had really bad vision problems, everything seems hazy and i can't seem to shake it off!

i got tested at 10 days non reactive and 37 (5 weeks and 2 days) days non reactive on the tests they both said HIV serology and ab / ag test, does anyone know what that means? my doc has also asked for a 3 month test aswell but he thinks that i should be good! does my 5 week test post a real indicator on whether i have contracted HIV or not?

all answers are truly appreciated as my anxiety has taken me to the lowest point in my life.

Advice given here is accurate and complete.  Further posts would serve no purpose other than to emphasize the "no risk" assessment previously given.

Thank you for your replies! So there isn't even a need to test at 12 weeks? I woke up this morning with my right lymph node in my chin hurting every time I swallow, and the rash on my penis keeps coming back after Ive been told theres nothing sti wise! Thats why my head keeps putting myself back in those thoughts of what if! But if results at 28 days are conclusive then I will accept it?!

There's nothing to test because you had no risk.

bigdreamer92 There are other diseases that cause your body to have these symptoms and you have no medical training, so your HIV fixation theory is of no importance. In fact there is no proof that you even have the symptoms you think you have.

As I already stated, you had no risk and did not even need a test in the first place. Any tests you take at any time are conclusive because NON risks like yours don't have any window period.

"non reactive on the tests they both said HIV serology and ab / ag test, does anyone know what that means?"

This is a 4th generation test. Looks for a p24 antigen and antibodies. It found neither.  If you had an actual risk this test would be considered conclusive by many HIV experts.
Also, wk 3 you mentioned symptoms. "if" this was actually ARS, the test you took 2 wks and 2 days later should be enough time for detectable antibodies being this would have been a sign your immune system was reacting to an hiv infection.

So with all I just wrote and what the members have been telling you, you should look elsewhere for what you're going through.
Relax about the HIV, the unnecessary anxiety isn't helping.

bigdreamer92 I went to a diagnostic company's seminar last night who claimed there are 20,000 diseases they are capable of detecting if they want to.

So there is a lot more than HIV but because you have no medical training you are making the mistake of restricting your search to just one.

Yes I know as I have seen  Ther posts with ur reply!

It's just my symptoms that keep making me say what if.

Would 5 and a half weeks be fairly accurate if it was the case of contracting it?

Thank you for ur responses! So my test result at 5 weeks and 2 days would be conclusive? And does that mean I should even bother testing again at 12 weeks?

That was bad advice to test. You had ZERO risk so testing is a waste of your time because there is nothing to test for. HIV is inactivated in saliva so no one in history got HIV from oral.

You had no risk and didn't need a test. But since you did have a test that was conclusively negative, that proves that you don't have HIV.

Trust me I've been where you are and still feel the anxiety. Keep your head up and just get tested accordingly. You've probably read about 4th gen tests. Some experts say it's conclusive at 4 weeks while not official. You had a 4th gen test coupled with post 28 days and the fact of your low/no risk encounter I would rest easy if I were you and just have one test at the official 12 week to help with your anxiety.

Oral is no risk so testing would be a waste of his time and the best way to deal with his anxiety is for him to learn the facts otherwise he will have to test every time he has oral.

the nurse in my local gum clinic told me oral posed no specific risk and i reckon your neg test at 5 weeks and 2 days wont change, i just wish i had a neg test at 5 weeks to ease my nerves
