i had a cut a salon while getting a shave done. I went for a test after one month and then repeated a test after 86 days. both were negative. AM I IN THE CLEAR.... can i rest in peace? please help

Teak, you say that i my first test itself was of no use. but my question is about window period. worst case scenario if i was at risk; did i fulfill the window period of 3 months i.e. 12 weeks; by repeating a test after 86 days? or does it need to be exact 90 days?

You tested after 86 days and were fine, and you really think that 4 days will make a difference? If you think so, then get tested in four days!

goldsound, thanks for fuelling up to  my fears and being full of sarcasm. may be you too equipped with HIV info hence you feel that gives you a license to make fun of being of people who not as aware a you are. anyways, i think i must go by Teak's verdict, and not pay no attention to you worthless advice. please help with good spirit and not with the idea of creating doubts in someone else's mind as am sure you know how traumatic it is to go for a HIV test and thats exactly what you asking me to do. shame on you man!

sorry to have come back... i have been reading through many posts. i want to ask this but wondering that may be you guys will laugh it out. can i be infected through a blood test? actually i am sure if they ujsed the right needle since the woman already got an open one along which had a cap on it. is there risky in pulling the blood out. i also wanted to know if a hiv+ person takes utmost care of himself, on an average can he live for 20-25 years. and is the life normal after hiv or very complicated?
