two month post exposure HIV Ag/Ab Combo test

Dear All,

Two month ago (5 March) i receiving unprotected oral sex by a sex worker. i'm worried that i might get HIV

So yesterday (two month post exposure) I had a HIV Ag/Ab Combo test and the result is 0.30 (Non Reactive).

and i read that hiv antibodies do not show up after infection sometimes until about 6 months of introduction.

did i need to take the test again, or its meant i'm HIV free? i'm very very worried since my wife is pregnant.

The chances of contracting HIV through oral sex are 1 out of 10 000, so your odds are extremely small. Lightning strike odds.. The test you took are 97% accurate within three months of exposure according to the cdc. Modern HIV tests are extremely accurate, I would bet my House that you are HIV Negative. If you are still concerned, take another test in a month, but your results should be conclusive.

Your symptoms are not related to hiv because you never had an exposure in the first place.Oral sex is zero risk for hiv transmission.Saliva contains protiens and enzymes that render the hiv virus inactive and thus unable to infect.

Hiya 2late. Their is very little you can add that will change the fact you still had a no risk encounter. Your test so far has proved you are HIV negative and this exposure will not change that status.
The Salvia is not a concern for HIV transmission. So are these symptoms HIV related, no chance in a million years in your case buddy. Your HIV negative, so look forward to your new baby.

Dear all,

i'm forget to tell you the detail and the reason i worried is that
10 days post possible exposure i'm having a high fever and a nausea for at least 2 weeks.

is this related to HIV symptoms?
is it possible that HIV virus is transmitted from saliva to urethra (by performing oral sex)?

thank you.

You never required HIV testing over your oral sex encounter, which was not a risk for HIV transmission. Your test confirmed that you could not have contracted HIV from this encounter. You do not need additional testing, and should just forget about this and move on with your life.
