unprotected sex, yeast infection and HIV

Had sex unprotected sex a few months ago. Eventually developed slight vaginal irritation that I didn't treat. This went on for several months. Went to my Doctor because I was having other issues. Discussed with her my irritation issue. She blew it off as a yeast infection. Currently had unprotected sex with a new partner. Have been diagnosed with a bladder infection and I am on an antibiotic. After being on antibiotic and having unprotected sex with new partner I have developed a another yeast infection with irritation and some cottage cheese discharge. No other symptoms other than back pain. Just wandering if I could have HIV?

Thanks for the advice. Had a HIV test several years ago since I was pregnant but haven't had one since. I guess just a little nervous to go through that again. Thanks for reading and giving me sound advice.

Are you scared to go test for HIV? Cause thats the only way to find out. In the meanwhile while you still gathering your courage, you may want to stop having unprotected sex with new partners if you dont know their HIV status. Just obvious piece of advice. And also stick to your antibiotics and have all those fungal and bacterial infections treated. It could just be one of those. Either way, do go to test for HIV. And if necessary, you do have the choice of changing doctors. Ask around, ask a friend and find out where a good GP or gynaecologist may be found. All the best!

You had unprotected sex. The only way to know your status is by testing. Start using condoms it protects you against HIV and most STDs.
