vaginal fluid touched penisa

I had a protected sex with a commercial sex worker. After the sex I removed the condom. The vaginal fluid outside the condom touched my penis and also my hands which I used while washing my penis with plain water. Am I at a risk????

You do not need to test because of this episode. You were not at risk of HIV transmission. Since you were not exposed, the window period is irrelevant. You can test now to know what your current status is. And, if you consistently use condoms correctly you can fully expect a negative result.

I assume you are anxious because you think there may be a chance that some HIV virus that may have been on the condom came in contact with your penis. Studies have repeatedly proven that the HIV virus is extremely weak and begins to breakdown as soon as it has left the body. In this case, any HIV virus that may have been on your condom would have broken down as soon as it hit the air(as soon as you pulled out). Second, studies also indicate that it takes a large amount of HIV virus to gain a foothold for infection. Third, it requires direct access to a mucous membrane or to the bloodstream. The HIV virus, if it was present - and the odds are it was not, cannot penetrate the skin of either your penis or your hands. As the last two posters said, you had no risk from this encounter. Continue to use condoms properly with partners of unknown status and you will have little to no worry about HIV.
