A drunk guy insrted a sharp needle in his hand suddenly while talking to me he insrted the same needle in my hand too...i was shocked ...his blood was on the needle , just after taking out the needle frm my hand he insrted in my hand...99% he is hiv posotive he visit prostititues every week..i m very scared do i need a hiv test now?

A hollow bore needle, a pin needle is not going togive you a risk.

it was not a hollow bore needle. those are needles that are used to give injections and draw blood.

You went from saying it was a normal pin to not knowing...don't believe you don't know. If it was a hollow bore it would be large and a syringe probably attached to it.

dear maria, read carefully
lets asume the worst case scenario that he is positive.
there is a treatment not 100% but very effective close to 95 to 98 % called PEP
repeat PEP( post exposure prewplaxis)
go to AIDS control society or any GOVT hospital and tell truly what happened.
this treatment has to be started within 72 hours of exposure and risk
hurry up and run to the clinic and HIV counsellor.

85% effective. Without infusion there was no risk and no need for nPEP.
