walking in leaves and needle

Hi, i was walking though the park today and on the floor i noticed a silver long piece of something - so i started to kick it. As i looked closley and moved the leaves there was a needle - syringe attached.

As i was kicking it it felt a sharp poke to my foot - i had boots on so im not sure how i did that  - i am really worried that there might have been blood and whilst poking - kicking this needle i put my self at risk? could anyone advise if a needlepoke is a risk for hiv thanks

thanks for the reply - i just wanted to confirm i know u have read my post if this needle and syringe had been used, there would have been blood on the tip in the needle right? even with me poking myself im ok?

and secondly u would know if u were injected - i mean the syringe would be hard to move or press nothing could happen while i was kicking it?

According to the CDC there are no documented cases of transmission from a needlestick outside of a health-care setting.

Hope this helps!
