well first i was anxious at that time and i must say you(moderators) are doing great and sorry if i say anything wrong ) when I was on my 4 th week moderatores told me that a duo test is not conclusive
and TEAK told me that it can only cut
the window period 1-2 weeks after exposure. since i am already in about 10 weeks so please tell me when i can have a test say 11 weeks duo fine for conclusive result.
I already had duo at 4,6,8 weeks pcr at 4 weeks and hiv
Take it at week 12 just to end all your testing once and for all. If you take it at week 11 your mind will play tricks on you. You will start thinking thats not good enough. More anxaity more stress. So just wait intill week 12. Do it right.
well first to be honest there are many many things to worry in life than anxierty so i want to just rule that hiv out as soon as possible so can you guys please tell me is HIV duo is conclusive at 11 weeks or not.
11 weeks, 12 weeks....it's pretty much all the same. Your results aren't going to change from 11-12 weeks. Calculate the 3 month mark, and that's when you can take your conclusive test.

OK I get that and i will take at 11 weeks duo and 13 week antibody rapid test to be 100 percent certain thanks for the help but just tell me one thing is there still likely chances of hiv do any of you ever seen a case of 9 week that turn positive thanks a lot for your help.i really appreciate that.
so guys as I said I gave blood for negative duo at 11 weeks so now i have the following tests on my record..
HIV DUO AT4,6,8,10 weeks negative.
pcr at 4 weeks negative
HIv antibody test at 6,9,10 weeks negative...
can I consider myself conclusive after recieving my 11 week duo report?
I am anxiously waiting for it so guide me please is that be enough with so many duos and a pcr and antibody at 11 weeks?
Just wait for another one. Btw you've wasted so much money on tests. Just do it one at 3 months post-exposure and the result will come out conclusive. If negative it's conclusively negative, if positive you'll be referred to another, confirmative test.
well i would tell you honestly that on this forum couple of doctors including dr hook say that as i have read that hiv duo at 4 weeks in conclusive and even with hiv 1 only test which is not duo you can be sure you have a negative at 8 weeks which will remain negative at 12 week also that statement of 12 weeks is an old thing now read this thread of doctor http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV-Prevention/HIV-Duo-Test/show/1455591.
I saw Teak in one fourm stating that hiv duo at 11 week is conclusiive as it cut the window period to 1-2 weeks before antibody test and in another fourm he states that hiv duo at 11 week is conclusive
I wonder every moderator have different point of view.what is the use of hiv duo test and what is the benefit even if it can not cut the window period by 1 week prior to hiv antibody test?
i stated you and want to show you the doctor point of view on that i think doctor is more experienced than any other member here and the doctor says and many of doctor say or probably all of doctors would say that hiv duo is conclusive at 4 weeks i dont know why teak says that but can you read the thread above i posted it would get you clear trust the doctor i trust the doctor and it gives me more relaxation.
even he told me that those who states 13 weeks with duo are not correct you can see in my thread but still i read and moderator have written so much that 11-12 week does not matter and is conclusive so thats why i got tested at 11 weeks even with duo and now that guy is stating that i need one more test.anyone else can you please help me really i am just scared .please help
Thanks a lot so can I stop worrying do not need to retest as advised by Dr HOOK and move on .
please tell me that will be my final post from hiv fourms TEAK and other members please spare some time to answer me
You have been advised over an over again that a conclusive negative test result is 3 months post exposure. There is no reason to keep hashing over when a test is conclusive.
