western blot to teak

after my partner tested positive for hiv , i tested nearly at the 4 months mark by western blot , which searched for antibodies for  gp120,gp160, gp41,p24,p17,p66,p51,p31,p55 and hiv 2 specific band, the result was neagtive and hiv 2 not indicated. does this test covers all subtypes and groups of hiv or do i have to under go separate tests, and i have not done any elisa test so do i have to take an elisa or the test westernblot is enough, i have also taken an dna qualitative pcr which was negative, and one more thing i would like to add is that they have tested my sample 6 days after they had drawn nlood sample of me , could that might have affected my results please give me some adivice as since my partner have tested positive i am i a panic state of mind.

every doc says that a positive elisa after 3 months of exposure followed by an negative westernblot is a negative result, i have a negative western blot after 4  months of exposure and you are asking me to test again with an elisa i suppose are you saying that my negative westernblot might be false negative after 4 months of exposure

Take the right tests. Western Blot tests are confirmative tests.
