what are the chances?

by helpmeplease65, Aug 18, 2009 06:11PM
Hi there..
recently i had unprotected sex with a man i did not know very well...he did not ejaculate in me

2 weeks after the incident, the man got a DUO antigen and antibody test - negative

6 weeks after the incident I got a rapid antibody test - negative

8 weeks after the incident, the man got another DUO test - negative

do you think i am at risk still?

i have not had any symptoms opart from things i believe caused by anxiety

do i need further testing, i know 12 weeks is conclusive, but i just want to know what are my chances of having HIV after all these tests?

thankyou

like i said, i know that 12 weeks is conclusive..

in the UK many private doctors believe that a DUO test is conclusive after 28 days :-

www.freedomhealth.co.uk

is this not the case?

do you think the man could still have HIV after a 8 week negative DUO test?

doesmy 6 week antibody test not mean anything?

Thankyou

Yeah the test hasn't picked up any antibodies.  3 months is conclusive.
