i've been tested anti hiv test after 4 months from the possible exposure. At the results it says 0.33
what does it mean???

thank you for your help, as i read from the forum,  3 months test is %100 conclusive, mine's on the 4th month.
do i need to get tested again???
i have sore throat right now, that makes me nervous. When the sore throat goes, i say to meself; 'man symptoms doesnt stay forever, sure they go' and i say to meself again to go tested to clear my mind and i go tested.
this circle makes me get tested for 4 times in 1.5 months....

Yes, it means the test was negative.

The figure you quote is simply a measure of reactivity resulting from your test. Generally a figure less than 1.0 is considered non-reactive.

Unfortunately, people get hung up on the fact that their result has any kind of non-zero result.

Every HIV test result will be a non-zero result, even the Pope's.

The ratio is a measure of absorbancy and optical density related to the mechanics of the test.

There is a large degree of contingency built into the ratio calculation in order that complete confidence can be taken from the result.
