what is the function of C line in HIV rapid test??
I did an HIV rapid test 2 months ago.. my last exposure was 14 months ago.. I performed the test and unfortunately the lancet was damaged so I took quite some time to find way to prick my finger.. and then when I drop the blood into the sample well, the blood didn't touch the base of the cassette (the blood touch the lateral wall of the sample well).. however when I put the buffer, the buffer did mix with the blood and they migrated through the strip and I got one single line at Control region only...
furthermore, it took about 10 minutes after I brought out the test cassette from it's envelope before I started pouring the buffer since I was having trouble to prick my finger.. I read that the test must be done immediately.. so what do u guys think? do u think my result is valid??
