what kind of test did i do?? puzzled

xposure unprotected with GF.. both were tested.. both were negative.. about me i tested after 1.5 yr of possible exposure.. according to her she was tested about 7 months of possible exposure..

bilateral white patches in lateral border of tongue for almost about 3 months... some times scrap off 90% doesn't come for whole day and next morning its there.. sometimes doesn't scraps off.. sometimes goes by itself.. but either time it isn't totally gone.. some patches are always there.. if i feel it its kinda fuzzy.. not hard.. the left part is vertically lined right part is more fuzzy.. .. normally if i scrap so hard most of it goes few never goes..

yesterday.. i bought a kit.. it was like a pregnancy kit.. i put a drop of blood then put a buffer then i kept it for 5 minutes it came out negative.. its been 4.5 months after my last exposure..
was the test i did reliable????????
i still have the white patches in borders of my tongue ..
