joe my dr did elisa / western blot for hiv 1 both neg. why he doing western blot for hiv 2
Can we substitute Elisa with Oraquick? I heard they are the same reliablitiy
you need to test 6 or 8 weeks after your exposure then must have a conformatory test on the 13 week for a definitive result. western blot testing is only used to confirm once your antibody test becomes positive. if you have followed the proper testing guidlines and recieve a negative result on the 13 week mark is it considered definitive and conclusive. but make sure to have other std's test as well since STD's are much more easier to catch than HIV.
