Does the mode of transmission affect the window period...would a 6 week window be definite to someone who could have beeen exposed sexually or to someone who could have been injected with an infected needle?
You unever had a need to test in the first place....open mouth kissing poses ZERO risk...with or without biting. ZERO.
Also, being a health care worker...I can ASSURE you that needles are not re-used. Not on purpose, and not by accident. A LOT of needles used today are equipped with safety
features for the HCW.....they contain a sheath or similar part that automatically covers the needle after use, rendering it un-useable. Even if that kind of device was not used.....I will promise you that your fears
are completely irrational. After all....HCW's want to protect themselves. It is grilled during schooling how to properly dispose of ANY sharps object,,,,to NEVER re-cap a needle...and to never re-use. It's second nature to these people to properly handle needles. Especially a job where that's what they do ALL day long.
