worried about yeast and HIV
Can someone tell me if recurrent yeast infections are really a symptom of HIV. How common is this, or am I just freaking out after surfing the internet too long?
Recurrent yeast infections do occur in persons with HIV but there are also several other more common reasons such as tight clothing which can trap heat and moisture (suitable conditions for fungal growth), pregnancy, diabetes, oral contraceptives, extended-spectrum antibiotics, and obesity.
