worried and scared

Teak and everyone on the forum,

M very much worried after having had a sex with CSW, it was on sep 1, 2013 I used a condom and did notice that it neither got broken nor slipped off, but my anxiety here is due to the following facts

After running through several articles in net on condoms it is clear that, it is not 100% protective even after using the condom as they have a microscopic holes in them which can easily let HIV pass through it.

I am also scared on the quality of condom that I used as it was given to me by CSW from their store, I dunno if it did protect me...

I know the most generic answer that I get for my post is 'I am not exposed to HIV' but I really want someone to justify how virus can't enter through condoms if it has a holes in it and there is always a margin of error that manufacturers allow

To increase my worry, I did lose more than 5 KGS of weight from the time of my possible exposure, noticed a white line on my inner cheek and many more HIV related symptoms and while writing this I did notice a white patch on my inner lower lips..... m really scared n I don't wanna die .... GOD please save me plsssss ,, .,:( :(

Hi everyone -

This thread is closed.

It's been established that condom-protected sex is zero risk for HIV. Your symptoms could be from stress/anxiety, or it's related to the cold and flu season. If you are concerned about your symptoms, please see your medical provider, but it isn't related to HIV from this encounter.

Thanks.

Emily

If your penis head is covered then you will not be at risk. Its as simple as that and if you cannot understand that, then nothing will convince you.

As far as I know condom failure means, condoms either getting bursted out or getting slipped off.... do we have any other things to add to these which accounts for failure....

And if someone doesn't have the above mentioned condom failures in their sexual act then can I take it from this forum that they are @ zero percent risk

"Do you confirm that any sexual act where condom has neither slipped off nor bursted out is 100% safer irrespective of my assumption that condoms have holes in it"

condoms are 100% safe for certain. As for holes in them, well im 42 and I have used a lot of condoms and I have never ever seen one. There is more chance of a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow then you getting HIV from this.

Please stop stressing over something so simple. If you have OCD etc, then medhelp has a forum where you may get help for this and im not saying this to be rude, just that your over analysing this way to much.

Look the bottom line here is your condom did not get holes in it and didn't fail you so you were 100% safe, you had no risk---there is no other way to say this to you.

No, any condom which has pre existing holes in it doesn't burst..

I did check it practically @ home and that's when my anxiety has increased

No, its not less of a risk, its ZERO risk, that's not a debating point, its been scientifically proven over 30 years.

Im sure its possible to have a defective condom, but you would soon know when it rips. If there was a hole in it, which is very unlikely, it would just burst buds and burst straight away.

Thanks for your reply,

I know protected sex is of less risk, but right now I am worried about the defective condoms in the market. Will they not put us in the risk.

Request you to please go thru my thread of questions that I have posted, I want someone to answer my simple question

If someone is using the so called defective condoms which has pores in it, do they or not have a chance of getting infected?

Or do u claim that we no where can find such defective condoms at all, if so then can I consider that every sex across the world where condom is used which has neither broken nor slipped off as an 100% preventive method against hiv..

Can someone confirm on it to make the things clear.....

You had protected sex, you never had a risk?

If the condom was defective it would burst like a balloon and you would not have had a condom on your penis.

Really buds, to worry so much over protected sex is bizarre and if you act like this every time you have sex then you will ruin any chance of a normal healthy sex life.

Lastly what if someone using that defected condom, can he be safe even after using it correctly without letting the condom to break or slip

And also what about margin of error that manufacturers allow, is there a chance that we get a defected condom in the market due to that margin of error..

When I say defected I again mean the possibilities of presence of holes in condom that allow virus

"if you use condom correctly and it does not fail during the sex, protection is 100% against hiv"

In my case, condom neither did slip nor broken, can I consider that I was 100% protected against hiv after considering the fact that condoms doesn't have holes in it?

And u didn't answer me about my symptoms, y am I getting those all of a sudden..... I have a cough

"as they have a microscopic holes in them which can easily let HIV pass through it" This assumption is not correct. All the condoms available commercially, made from synthetic material, do not have pores in them and HIV is unable to pass through these membranes.

Less than 100% value is given for the reason, that they may fail during sex and total statistics must account for such failures. It is known to us that condom failure exposes us to the potential risk.

Rest assured, if you use condom correctly and it does not fail during the sex, protection is 100% against HIV
