worried sick

had sex with others before i got married over 9 years ago. Started feeling bad lately, lost weight, tired, hot feeling in the neck and armpits for the last 2 weeks. I just sent my test in, I am a nervious wreck since it started and have a hard time sleeping at night. Could these signs be from being so nervious? If it came back positive, would treatment make me sick that I can't keep my job and lose my house?

I'd say get tested, please don't guess

HIV today is just like another chronic manageable diseases, it's not a death sentence, unlike 20 years ago somebody who was diagnosed with HIV would have died of AIDS today there are good drug cocktails which can prolong the life by curbing the virus replication to an extend

But above all get tested to know it, it's not necessary that every one who has unprotected sex would acquire HIV

Best of luck !

Mike

YES on your first question. HIV medication does make some people ill. It depends on what medication you would take. It a person to person thing. Talk with me later if you get a positive result and I'll help you out. It may be that your CD4 cells are high enough that you wouldn't need to take meds for years if your test result should be positive. Good luck on your test result.
