worried stepped on blood

Dear members,
I have a two-fold question ..

1 - I had sex with a street hooker tonight in Malaysia and I used a condom and it did not fail. However, the place she took me to was not the cleanest and when I got home I noticed what looked like a blood stain on my sock, and possibly some semen stains. I have some seriously abraded/torn skin from old blisters on the soles of my feet (but not bleeding) as I do a lot of hiking .. So I am worried what if blood/semen from her or from another person who had used the room beforehand, got in contact with the abraded/torn skin ?. I did notice some wet spots on the concrete floor and I walked barefoot on that floor ..

2 - I also ask about the possibility of leeches transmitting hiv, especially in light of some studies which suggest that hiv (and other blood-borne viruses) can remain alive inside leeches for months !.. What is your opinion on this issue and should I be extra careful in the future while hiking in tropical places?

I hope to see your response soon and happy new year

Thanks in advance

Worried

Parasitol Res. 1994;80(4):277-90. OUT DATED INFORMATION.  Look at the dates. No where did you see Human transmission. You can find HIV in mosquitoes but they can't transmit HIV.

The reference was published by The US National Library of Medicine - National Institute of Health ..

I would have thought that was a reasonably scientific source ... right  ?

Do you know what HIV stands for? Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Try getting your information from a scientific source.
