I knew oral was low risk but didnt know if the risk would increase due to biting my cheek from time to time causing the open sore. Thank you for the info. I am scheduled for the rapid oral test on monday. I'm debating on whether this really warrants taking the test or saving 50 dollars if i don't.
Dr HHH says he nor his colleagues have ever heard of a documented case where cunnininglus (spelling?) was the source of an HIV infection.
There is simply not enough exposure to the virus in the very very minimal secretions you would come into contact with on the external vaginal area to put you at risk, not to mention saliva has enzymes that kill HIV.
In fact, the city of San Fransisco has a great chart that lists risks for different unprotected sex acts and the transmission risks for STD's associated with them. I apologize but I dont have the link but search the web and you will find it. The chart lists Herpes as the only possible STD you can catch from performing oral sex on a woman and there is a side note that says Herpes is rare to catch from oral sex on a woman.
