Thanks. I pray also that will be the case.  Once I'm done with that test I will be making an appointment to get tested for stds.

Your test result will be 100% negative because you had no risk.

Hi all

Thanks for all your assistance and feedback.  I know all of you say that I was never at risk at all but nevertheless I have made an appointment to get tested.  Hopefully it's just a formality to give me some peace of mind and then get another test at end of 3 month.  Wish me luck and pray that the result will show that I'm free of the virus.

Thanks

Did I not say no risk, whatever spin you put on it.  Being a diabetic makes no difference at all!!

You don't need testing, you were never exposed.

Someone who had a REAL risk (which you did NOT) would test at 3 months post exposure.

Hi

Thanks for your comments.  Today is day 42 which is about 6weeks post exposure.  Should I get tested today or over the next few days or should I wait for 3 months before getting tested?

Tks

Your not upsetting anyone as we are here to help. Now you have to remember that symptoms mean nothing when diagnosing hiv infection. They are to similar to stress and anxiety symptoms. Also oral sex is zero risk for many reasons and it makes no difference if you had a cut on your penis or not. There are to many studies that have concluded that oral sex of any kind under any circumstance is ZERO risk. You can feel safe that your in the clear.

Dear all

I know that in the earlier post that you mentioned that there is no risk of HIV transmission even those during unprotected sex my penis was cut and started bleeding.  I'm not sure whether any parts of her mouth was bleeding or not. But to day is 41 and my doctor said that I have a slightly inflamed throat and my lymph nodes in my neck are swollen.  Also last week I hd dry mouth and developed an ulcer on my tongue although there were mouth ulcers in my mouth earlier.  I also noted one or two red spots on my hands which takes about slightly more than a week to disappear. Since my potential exposure, I have lost about 3 kgs.  I have woken up about 3 to 4 nights in the last week and a half sweating.  Could these possibly be symptoms of HIV infection? Also I previously had loose stools but that has stopped now. Thank God.
I hope that I would not upset anyone of you with this post but it's just that the latest developments hAve really spooked me out after our last correspondence.

Thanks again.

Worried.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

kindly move along...you do NOT have a hiv concern, therefore this forum has nothing left to offer.

saliva is not infectious.

this forum is hiv specific.  questions regarding other stds should be addressed in the std forum.

Thanks for your reply.  so just to confirm even though my penis was bleeding, the hiv virus would not be able to infect me through her saliva? Btw, would being a diabetic make a difference? Can you share some of the symptoms of STDs with me?

You never had a risk of hiv transmission because hiv transmission via oral sex is a zero risk activity under any circumstance.Saliva from her mouth contains many different proteins and enzymes that render the hiv virus inactive and therefore unable to infect you.Your safe.Test for more common STD,s though. All the best.
