worried

yesterday i got a medicine injected into my body.it was a 10ml syringe.i took the new syringe with me for injection and gave it to the nurse.after  injecting the medicine ,i have seen number of used syringes on the table. The table was initially used for placing the syringe.she also changed the needle of the syringe and kept my syringe on that table.now is there any chance for my syringe to be replaced by any of the used syringes which were on the same table ?

You do not have an HIV concern and the answer is not all people infected with HIV have had symptoms.

One to withdraw the medication and one to inject. That would be the only reason.

Listen you have OCD  like me fear of HIV and it can be extremely horrifyng .....not real, not risk, NOOOOOO RISK baby. relax, I am right there were you are, Ive had more than 7 tests done and just 1 man in my life Now I have this new AMAZING man tha has been with a looot more women than my douchy ex and he got tested negative for everything and I still have the fear that maybe he is lying about 9 months that passed before he took the tests this days and that he still might have had sex with someone else just before the tests so maybe their not acurrate...and he is an honest man  but since my ex was a liar I dont believe him...and just for love he is getting re tested  before we have sex even though he just got tested for like EVERYTHING , negative well except herpes simplex but a lot of people havve that.......................I had your irrational feat with a syringe in a hispital too, doubting about the performance the nurse gave thinking he switched it by accident or on purpose...ilogical no? You should be afraid of YOURSELF AND YOUR MIND not that....you are your worst ENEMY....FIGHT for your peace of mind...the mind can be your prison...I have been there. good luck!

Then you need to seek a therapist for your irrational fears and anxiety.

You did not have a risk and this fourm can go no further then give you risk assestment on fact, not "what if's" and irrational thinking.

Let me get this straight...you TOOK your own syringe?  If so, where did you even obtain it?  If you took your own, I'm guessing you have some OCD-like issues?  You need to seek professional help to allow you to get a grip on that.

No one switched out any syringe or needles.  Health care workers maintain stringent standards, they don't reuse equipment, mostly for their OWN safety.  They're not going to put themselves at risk for all kinds of infections (staph, etc) by reusing needles.

do not be worry there is no risk as long as there was no blood in the needle so you are safe

First of all, do not post duplicate threads!

NO, health care workers do NOT reuse needles.  It is an irrational fear.

You have ZERO to worry about.
