Hair loss yet think hair

My question is I have a very healthy diet,I am female, had my thyroid tested which is normal, however I lose lots of hair on my head, I do have thick hair, I was told Silica was good for hair and nails, has anyone heard of Diatomaceous Earth powder, (it's Fossil Flour) you take up to one tablespoon per day, mix it in water, for humans and animals, can you tell me if it is safe to take a 1 teaspoon per day of this natural form of silica for adults.

I use D-earth As An Insecticide!!... Never Heard of using it as a natural form of silica!.. I wouldn't suggest it...what it does is basically suck the moisture out of insects...  It says not to inhale it cause it can cause Silicosis which is a lung Disease...

oh also, As A hairstylist,  You can lose on average up to a hundred hairs a day... If you are losing more than That and It's an excessive amount, you can Try Nioxin products(shampoo/conditioner/treatments).. It's designed for thinning hair... or you can look up Viviscal!  Viviscal is more for hair loss due to stress I believe.. I haven't done enough research on it to know for sure, but I've read some reviews and It's Apparently an amazing product!..  :)
