Hair thinning mostly around part

I'm a 34 year old male, noticed my hair in the front, near where
I part my hair was starting to thin causing a bit of a bald spot
around 5 months ago.

It's only continued to thin. It's thinning a little on the top of my head
too (not noticeably), but mostly in the front area. The hair there just seems to be
dying, it's dryer and stringier than anywhere else on my head, and
there really isn't enough of it to cover that part of my head anymore.

I don't notice it falling out on my pillow or when I wash my hair or
anything unusual.

Baldness/thinning hair runs pretty rampant through my family, so maybe
it's just genetics and time catching up with me? Was diagnosed with
Irritable Bowel Syndrome a month or so before it started and begain
taking Dicyclomine in January for it, dunno if that might be a factor in any way.

Have included a picture...this is how it looks combed to the best of my ability
to cover up the expanding dead spot.
