Seborrheic Dermatitis or something causing hair loss.

hello all im 28 female ive been losing my hair since may 2010, i was wondering if it could be due to having Seborrheic Dermatitis, i have told my demtoligist he was like i have alot of woman coming in here complain with hair loss like it was no big deal. well now im noticeing not patches but i can see my scalp when i put my hair up an you can see the nasty Seborrheic Dermatitis.whats another doctor besides a demtoligist i can go to for hair loss my gp said i was causing it cause i was wearing my hair up lot ive stoped that i dont blow dry it when i get out the shower i dont straighten it everyday only like if im going out or something other then that i let it dry on its own an comb it with a wide pick comb.i was wonder if there is a shampoo & conditioner i can get to regrow hair like one at a salon? or maybe sallys beauty supply i dont want to use rogain because im really not sure whats causing this hair loss but im tired of it,id say it way more than 50 to 100 hairs. anybody have any idea what i can do or kinda doctor i can see to help me i dont wanna go bald. anybody else have this problem.

I would seek a second opinion from another Dermatologist.  My husband has a patch of eczema on his scalp and it has caused his hair to fall out in that area.  When my hair started thinning I started using Rogaine with excellent results but you need to find out what is causing the dermatitis and get treatment for it before putting anything on it.  You should also get your thyroid checked, a malfunctioning thyroid will cause hair loss.  There are shampoos that can make your hair look a bit thicker, but none of the others work....I've tried them all.  I would definitely see an Endocrinologist to get some bloodwork done.  I hope this helps, I know how we are with our hair!  Below is a website that says hair loss is caused by seborrheic dermatitis....get a second Dermatologist involved.
