N.H.Lymphoma

I was diagnosed with Cancer in 2005. My Cancer was in the Nasal Pharnyx area.
It was large B cell Stage 4. I have had Radiation and Chemo C.H.O.P.R
They did say there was some in my Bone Marrow.
I've have had a rough 3 years. With Shingles, Gall bladder removal, Collapse of
an Artery due to Radiation and had a Sub Clavical bypass, also had all teeth
removed due to radiation damage. Now I am having fevers at night from 100
to 101.8, plus after I eat I bloat and become constipated for 3 to 4 days, and
must take stool softeners. I have a headache on my left side of my head after
sneezing, the pain is just behind my eye and upward. Could this be a sign
that the Cancer is returning. I seemy Cancer doctor again in March 2009.

Beau,
I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with more worry. Sounds like you've been through a lot. I have many disgnosis'. but none truly fit my symptoms. You can read the details in my profile - picture MRI. I recently found out I have a "nasopharynx cyst" (I found out by reading my medical records). My doctors say this isn't the cause of my problems because they size is too small to cause symptoms. Anyway, did you have symptoms early on? Mine started with headache, blurry vision, dizziness, ear pain/ringing and fatigue. I was told it's MS three months after it started; 3 other neuros said it's not MS.
How did you come to know it was NHL? A neurologist suspected paraneoplastic syndrome which is caused by cancer and would explain symptoms I have that came later (joint and limb jerks/pain, numbness, weakness). I'm beyond the point of needing to know the answer - no matter what it is.
Are you still having recent problems you described? Don't know if you taking any medicines, but they can cause problems. If you're still bothered, call your doctor and let them know what's going on. Attitude is important, so be positive. I sincerely wish you the best.

My early symtoms were very bad sinus headaches, They tried to fix it with tubes in the ears. That still didn't work. I continued to have bad heaches for 7 months. I could no longer breathe threw my nose. When they attempted the second tubes I told the doctor
to check my adenoids (adenoids), thats when they found the tumouron the Nasal Pharnyx area.
It was the size of a POST it Note. They thought at first it was a Carcinoma. 1 week later
they finally diagnosed NHL. None of my lymph nodes swelled up. They did find it my bone marrow. My other early symptoms were fatigue, and night sweats and dizziness, and Tinitus inboth ears. I hopeyou are OK. I don'r wish anybody to go through what I did. I will say a prayer for you and light a candle on your behalf.

Thank you!  I am going to get another opinion. I want a definite answer about this nasopharynx cyst. I feel it warrants investigation because it is on the same side that bothers me the most. Lately, I wonder if it is just a cyst. I've had a lump behind my left ear for a long time; it's not real big but it does feel larger than it was when I first noticed it (I almost forgot about it). I have other lymph nodes that I can feel. They aren't big, just feel a little hard (I can't feel them on the other arm/leg).
Did you have the growth removed or radiation to shrink? I guess I should see another ENT for another opinion.  Are you feeling any better? If not, call your doctor so you don't worry over nothing. I will pray for you to get a clean check. Thanks again.

My tumour was inoperateable. Due  to the fact it was in the middle of my head.
I had 20 Radiations and 8 Chemo treatments. So far so good. No growth for3 years now.
I have suffered some side effects from the treatment. I got Shingles due to low immune system. I had a Artery collapse due to the radiation and needed a bypass. Then my gallbladder needed to come out due to Chemo right in the middle of my treatments.
I am on quite a number of meds. 10 to be exact. Some of these I'll be taking for life.
I am waiting for another CT Scan to see if the cancer has come back. The positive thing is the bloodwork came back good. So best of luck to you, just stay positive. I have for the last 3 years. You'll be in my prayers.
