New treatments for ACC

by mecrpk, Jan 05, 2009 03:44PM
My brother, age 50 was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma 4 years ago. He had his soft pallate removed and had 5 weeks of head and neck radiation following the surgery. He now gets regular PET scans and so far everything is okay, but he tells me that it will probably come back in some other organ or organs and he anticipates about a ten year life expectancy from the time he was diagnosed. Are ther ant new treatments on the horizon?
