Any suggestions? Urgent help needed

Hello

I assume this is the correct section

I have no insurance and have been getting not the best medical advice so have turned to this place

Above my nose on my forehead I have swelling, it has some red dots in the sweeling area SOMETIMES.

I have only noticed this since I passed out 11 days ago. When I passed out the ER did a simple EKG, looked at my blood tests from a month ago when I passed out and said I have some Nuerological Disorder and to put a cold ice pack on my forehead when I feel symptoms coming on

Well I have had this pressure in my head since then and my forehead is swollen from center of each eye to the other and about 1" to 1 1/2" from where my nose meets my forehead, Almost like a severe ear ache too.  So I tried to put the ice on my forehead like I was told by the doctors in the ER, I does relieve the "pressure" in my head as I call it

What can this be?  Im at the point where I need to tell the doctors what to check

As to the passing out this has happened 3 times in a year, last July they said I was dehydrated after EKG, Blood Tests, Urin Tests, Back X-Ray, Head Scan and chest x-ray

When I passed out one month ago I felt it coming on and thought it may be suger so did drink 32oz of Gatorade fast and brought me out of it so I decided to eat something, About 30min later I passed out and the ambulance took me in, when I started getting light headed in the ambulance he had just cjecked my info and BP and all was good but that fast it dropped to 69/30

By time I got to the Hospital they could not find anything and all they did was another EKG, They said everything looks good, In the ambulance your BP dropped so the only suggestion we can give you is see a cadiologist and give them all this info and maybe they will know what it could be or will send you to another specialist

Then 11 days ago my uncle was in the operating prep room, I passed out, The Regitered Nurses saw it, They said "he has low suger" because they said the symptoms were of course the hollow to no hearing, blurry vision that turns to tunnel vision, POURING SWEAT.  They gave me 3 of those little cups of Orange Juice the size of an apple sauce cup and that fast it pulled me out of it

We were by the elevators going up and down, the OJ brought me out of it before we were down in the ER and we were by the elevators.

Any suggestions as to where to start and suggestions or questions to give the doctors?

Now grant it I have a severe back problem or assume it is a back problem, In November they did some a few disks that were gapped but I have never heard of a gapped disk, Here is the info on my back, could the medical issues be related? I dont know

Hi
Thanks for keeping me posted!
Well a forehead swelling with fluid can be a hemangioma or a cystic collection or an aneurysm. Since you have very high BP, chances of pain causing such a high BP are less. The various causes such as increased weight, kidney problems, liver problems, etc have to be looked into.
Hope this helps. Take care!

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

While I was  in the Hospital (see below) they did a head CT Scan along with blood work.  Everything was fine in the blood work, The CT Scan did show fluid there but there is no infections and no sinus infection

Here is the info I posted about my back as I was taken to the Hospital Monday night.......

Well not too long after I posted this I had to go to the Hospital, They were not sure what was wrong

My blood pressure was way high, they did a bunch of tests and found it to be from the pain. My blood pressure due to the pain was up to 180/110

They put me on Percocet, 2 5mg/325mg and that worked fair

So as they released me they ordered me to take 2 50mg Tramadol and 2 5mg/325mg Percocet

BTW, They did try to do an MRI but I did not fit in the MRI so I will be having one this coming week but an "OPEN" MRI

I did not like the orders on the meds so I asked my primary Doctor Thursday and she said "Yes that is what you will be taking"

She said "The two pain meds together create a _________" (Some word I can not remember and can not even say)

Excellent catch, drnee.

You get six points.

On second though, seven.

Now as to treatment, you need to find a clinic affiliated with a hospital. There are lots of them and you do not necessarily have to live in a catchment area.

Most clinics in the United States have enrollment periods, generally, but not always at the beginning of the fiscal year. September. You have to look for one. Call your local hospital and speak with a social worker.

You show up bright-eyed and bushy tailed on a Monday at 0800 and go through a processing interview with a social worker.

At a clinic I used to work part-time at, if you have no insurance or no money the base cost was ten dollars a visit plus a modest co-pay for the medications. They provided excellent service, including neurological and MRI's.

It helpf for you to have copies of your previous medical records, which you must request in advance from the facilities where you were treated.

A good physician will know what questions to ask.

What you need to tell them is "what is wrong in your own words".

It's called a "Chief complaint".

Draw up a time-line as to when the problem developed, what you were doing, and the intensity. Put all this on a sheet of paper to give the physician.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
What you have is probably temporal arteritis. This occurs due to inflammation of artery. ESR and C-Reactive protein, liver function test should be done to cliché the diagnosis. Duplex ultrasound will also help in diagnosing. Symptoms include general ill feeling, blurred vision, loss of appetite, excessive weakness, and muscle aches and pains. Please discuss this with your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
