Bright White Areas On MRI

I have pictures posted on my profile of my MRI, and was wondering if anyone could tell me why I have a white spot on the back of my brain?
This MRI was taken one year after I had the symptoms of a stroke which included nausia, pain in my legs, inability to speak, numbing of my nose which then spread to my entire face, and weakness. The symptoms started one by one, and lasted a total of 30 minutes. Since then, the left side of my face doesnt move like the right side does when I smile.
I know theres really nothing you can do about a stroke. But should I be worried about this white area? Thanks!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
White spots on MRI are seen in MS, microvascular disease (arteriosclerosis), some types of headaches, Alzhiemer’s disease, old age and even due to TBI or tarumatic brain injury. It is difficult to differentiate the white spots due to one disease from the white spots due to another. Patient history and other parameters are taken into consideration and co related with the MRI picture. Consult your doctor. Take care!
