Daughter's head pain's

I have a daughter who is a wrestler, weighs 114# had a concusion about two months ago.  Last week sharp, stinging, head pains began at the occipital, frontal, and parietal lobes.  They occur more than 15 times daily, last 30-60 seconds.  We had an MRI done with normal results.  Set up appt for neurology a week from now.  I feel there is something that I am missing or the physicans.  They said I would need to wait for the consult...from here "just to deal with it."  Any suggestions?

Hi,

How is your daughter? It is good that the MRI was normal. Concussions and other brain injuries results from high-contact sports such as football, boxing, wrestling and hockey. Aside from headache, other symptoms noted are dizziness, lightheadedness, memory loss, nausea or vomiting, blurred vision and sensitivity to light, difficulty in concentrating or with balance. For complex concussion,  symptoms may last longer than 7-10 days. Have her rest and to avoid any activities.  It is also important to avoid loud, bright, busy environments.  Acetaminophen or other aspirin-free medications may help with the headaches. See your neurologist to help decide whether she needs additional tests and for proper evaluation.

Tke care and do keep us posted.
