Elbow to the Temple

Last night while playing basketball I got hit in the temple by an opponents elbow. It hurt a lot last night and my vision seemed a little blurry on that side of my head. I was a little nauseous after. I slept through the night and now I still have a dull headache, pain to the touch, and think my vision isn't 100% but not super impaired. Is this normal? Something to be concerned about? What should I do?

Yes, you definitely need to go and  get an MRI or CT scan.  If you're still having symptoms like blurry vision it may be more serious than you think.  Go get a head scan ASAP!!  good luck.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If after a major blow on the temple area, the vision is still blurry then it is better to go to the ER to get this checked. It can just be a local contusion or swelling of soft tissue from the blow causing this, but it is important to rule out a serious damage by doing a MRI of the brain. Hope this helps. Take care!
