Everything seems to be fast

I'm not sure if this is the right
I have found it very difficult to understand my Partner talking, Telephone conversations, the Television, and Music on the Radio because everything seems to be fast. The music even sounds as if Mickey Mouse is singing it. This has happened a few weeks ago and I'm really ... [More] frightened. Please Help.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Your brain is unable to process the information correctly. Hence you are not able to hear things clearly and everything appears t be said in a fast forward style.
It could be a defect in the auditory nerve due to infection or injury.
If there is a history of injury to head in the past, then this could be the cause. Please discuss with your PCP and get a referral to neuropsychiatry or neurology.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!

Thank you for your help. Everything seems to sound fast, that’s why I have the problem understanding.  My hearing is fine. I have read several books that maybe I'm Depressed, Anxiety etc but I have not come across my problem anywhere. I'm a great classical music lover and I know the music well, but I do not understand why it now sounds really fast.
I'm seeing the Phychiatrist for the first time in a couple of weeks time. But I really don't know how he will understand or help me. I'm sure not many people have had this problem. let me know if this has happened in the past.
