Hi.

There is indeed an optimum length of sleep wherein the person would feel rested and energized.  If the length of sleep is shortened or lengthened beyond this time (which is as unique as the person itself), you can experience symptoms such as headaches and light headedness.  the explanations are still somewhat unclear, but the mechanism may lie in the relative deprivation of nutrition, calories that arises from prolonged sleep.

Try to examine within yourself what would be optimal for you and try to form a habit.  this way you can avoid these symptoms.

Regards.
