Hit head, feeling weird

Hit head, feeling weird

Yesterday while cleaning, I bent down to pick something up and smacked my head along the edge of my closet door. Sounds weird, but I'm always running into things.

When I hit it was like my eyes rolled to the back of my head, felt like I was almost losing balance, and felt like my whole head had exploded. Soon after I got this big knot in the middle of my forehead near my hairline. it feels extremely bruised. Last night I felt a little nauseous, bending over hurt my head, felt like there was a lot of pressure, laying on side of my head was uncomfortable. I also found it a bit difficult to breathe at one time. This morning the knot had gone down some, but it's still really sore. Still feeling a little nauseous, doesnt hurt as much to bend over. There is a slight sore spot on the left side away from where I hit. My head just feels like it's going to explode. I haven't really been what you would call dizzy, but at times slightly light headed. It doesn't last for too long though. I noticed in class today I was just staring off without blinking. At times I found it a little difficult to follow along while reading. Seems like I feel my best when my eyes are closed.  I don't know if there's something wrong that I need to go have checked out, or if it's just common symptoms of hitting. I've hit my head plenty of times before but I don't remember having any symptoms like this other than a knot.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
There is a possibility that hitting your head hard has resulted in concussion or an internal bleed. It is also possible that you have injured your cervical spine due to the impact resulting in pinched vertical spinal nerves. All these can cause nausea, headache and soreness. Please consult your PCP and get this examined. If early appointment not possible go to the ER immediately. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
